The Holiday season is in full swing at the Powerline headquarters; the construction themed tree is up, the decorations are out, and the donation boxes are scattered around the office ready to be filled with non-perishable food items for those less fortunate. This year, Powerline is supporting Project Engagement. Founded by local City Councilor Michael Thompson and Toronto businessman Vincent Gasparro in 2004, this inspiring not-for-profit organization aims to provide food, clothing, and other household necessities to various families around the GTA.

The organization’s success can be best described by the positive impact they are making in our community. In Project Engagement’s first year, they were able to help 40 families have a happy and healthy holiday season; this year, they aim to feed upwards of 400. Each family is given around 5 boxes; enough fresh and non-perishable food and household items to last them an entire month!

Powerline Plus is contributing to the cause by donating $1000.00, urging our employees to help fill 4 large size food donation boxes, as well as attending the Project’s “distribution day”, where the boxes will be packed at Ellesmere Community Center in Scarborough and shipped out to the deserving families.
