The scope of this project was to provide and complete electrical and civil design as well as construction for the jack and bore. Powerline Plus constructed shafts for sending and receiving pit and crossing MTO highways using modified auger boring/ jack and bore methods while encountering various soil conditions including shale. They performed all civil works including but not limited to trenching and cable chambers. Work also included the installation of ducts across the highway off-ramp by utilizing the cap and lag tunnel method. The same methodology is applicable for crossing Metrolinx railway tracks. Additional support such as tunnel reports, special crossing permits, and vibration monitoring was also provided.
